Stained Glass Design Sourcebook by Lynette Wrigley
Although the title suggests a reference book for crafters, it really will appeal to anybody who appreciates clever design. It is a gallery of work by some of our finest contemporary stained glass artists. Text is kept to a minimum and the pictures are well-organised into categories from figurative and abstract designs to the religious (or as the author has it, in a lovely double negative, "non-secular").
The selection is incredibly varied in style from traditional to avant garde. A big bonus is that the pictures for each double-page spread have been so carefully chosen to compliment each other. The overall effect is stunning and excellent value - around fifteen pounds for 130 hard-backed colour pages.
